Looking for a cruise this winter? Your options just got more interesting.
The 133,500-ton Carnival Vista — the largest Carnival cruise ship ever homeported in Galveston — sailed its first voyage out of the Port of Galveston on Sunday. The ship will offer two different weeklong western Caribbean itineraries. One will call at Montego Bay, Grand Cayman and Cozumel, and the second will visit Mahogany Bay (Isla Roatan), Belize and Cozumel.
Carnival Vista, which debuted in 2016 and previously sailed out of Miami, has a guest capacity of nearly 4,000 and has 1,450 crew members. Onboard features include a twin-track suspended bike course, a burger joint by celebrity chef Guy Fieri and a brewery.
